A simple and delicious recipe for using our Spray Dried Tomato Powder: A cheese and tomato sablé.
Cheese and Tomato Sable
- 200g Butter (diced)
- 225g Flour
- 200g Emmental Cheese (grated)
- 15g MSK Spray Dried Tomato Powder
Place the flour into a bowl and rub the butter into the flour with your hands to create a crumble.
Add the grated cheese and keep mixing until you have a homogenous mix. Once the mix has come together add the tomato powder and work through lightly so the powder slightly ripples through the dough.
Shape the dough into a log, about 4cm diameter. Wrap the dough in cling film and place into the fridge for at least an hour to firm up.
Remove from the fridge, remove the cling film and slice the dough into biscuits about 0.5cm thick
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and brush them with egg wash.
Bake at 160°C for 10-15 minutes until golden brown
