MSK Academies - Developing the Chefs of Tomorrow
We are proud to be working with an ever-growing number of further education colleges around the UK as part of our MSK Academies programme.
This programme aims to support colleges to deliver a more modern, innovative approach to catering by embedding the latest industry ingredients and techniques in their courses.
We ensure lecturers and students alike get access to our extensive range of ingredients, along with training from our development chefs, with the aim of supporting the colleges to deliver a more modern and innovative curriculum which is best placed to prepare their students for the workplace of the future.
We offer colleges:
- Hands-on, practical demonstrations for students with our development chefs
- Inspirational CPD days for lecturers
- Access to our extensive range of modern, high-performance and natural ingredients so that students get the opportunity to work with the highest quality ingredients.
MSK is committed to playing its part in the development of the chefs of tomorrow. We want to build strong relationships between industry and education to drive innovation in our industry from the bottom up. We believe this is the best way to ensure that students are prepared for and have access to the sort of job opportunities which will be best suited for them. And we feel that promoting an aspirational attitude in our young chefs is the best way for the industry to continue to grow and achieve new standards, country-wide.
Our first MSK Academy was launched in 2019 with The Sheffield College. We have a long relationship with the college who have an outstanding reputation within the UK for hospitality and were thrilled to establish this partnership with them to produce the next generation of innovative chefs.
Since then we have established academies with Leeds City College, Eastleigh College, Stoke on Trent College and are in discussion with a number more.
