What personal information do we collect?

When you place an order for goods or services online or by phone, email or post, we will create an account on our systems to store information about this and any future transactions, quotations or correspondence. 

You may optionally register on our website which will give you access to your account information (once we have verified and connected you) or if you are a new customer will create an account on our systems automatically.

How long will we keep your information?

Except as set out below, we keep your personal information only for as long as required to provide you with the services you have requested or to comply with the law.

After seven years of inactivity (i.e. seven years after your last order was placed) we will anonymise your account. This means we will remove all personally identifying information so that it is impossible to link it back to the individual who set up the account. 

Some account and financial transaction information will be retained for six years to comply with our legal obligations to the UK tax authorities.

Some account and financial transaction information will be retained for four years to comply with customs, duty and tariff regulations where orders have been shipped outside the United Kingdom.

We will retain your information for marketing and personalisation until you unsubscribe, emails cannot be delivered to the email address you gave us, or we choose to stop sending you marketing messages.

If you contact us with a question or complaint, we will retain your email in our systems for ten years for the purposes of legal defence, audit and quality management.  

Who do we share your information with?

To operate our business effectively and provide you with an efficient and accurate service, we share your personal information with organisations that process it on our behalf or who need your information to provide services for us, including, but not limited to, sending emails, providing delivery services, managing event bookings, cloud data storage, conducting surveys or polls, website analysis, data analysis and processing card payments. 

These organisations will only have access to your personal information as necessary to perform the service they provide but cannot use it or disclose it for any other purpose. We ensure their privacy standards match or exceed ours before contracting with them.

We host our website in the United Kingdom. The EU and UK governments have adequacy decisions in place, meaning that the legal protections afforded to your personal information are the same in both areas and can be transferred freely between them.

Some of the data processors or service providers we use may process your personal information outside the UK/EEA. They use safeguards, including adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses approved by a supervisory authority, to do this. 

Where required by law, we will share personal information with any relevant regulatory authorities or other organisations.

We share business performance data, which may include some personal information with our parent company, Ingå Group.
