MSK Liquid Smoke Extracts must be the simplest and easiest way to add a deliciously smoky note! There are three smoke extracts to choose from in the MSK range - Beech Smoke, Smoke Oil and Hickory Smoke. The doseage rate is as little as 1%.
In this recipe we are using Hickory Smoke Extract.

- 1kg King Edward Potatoes
- 1tbsp Salt
- 300g Cold Butter – diced
- 50ml Warm Milk
- 1tsp MSK Hickory Smoke Extract
Peel the potatoes and cut them into 3cm dice.
Fill a large pan with cold water. Salt the water and bring to the boil, then lower to a simmer. Add the potatoes and cook until soft.
Drain the potatoes and place them back in the pan. Shake the pan over a gentle heat to get rid of any remaining water.
Tip the potatoes into a ricer and rice the potatoes over a bowl containing the cold butter.
Stir in the warm milk and hickory smoke extract.
